Arrival

For those wanting to receive the full benefit that such a location has to offer you may choose to fly into Denver International Airport and drive west from Denver across the Rockies to Grand Junction via Interstate 70, and then south-east to Telluride. This journey will take between 6 and 7 hours. This is a gorgeous drive through some of the most rugged and beautiful highland terrain this country has to offer. The return trip to Denver north-east through the mountains via Highway 285 equals if not surpasses the proceeding route in beauty, while taking no more time. Both of these routes are highly recommended.

For those who do not wish to make such a journey, several smaller airports are located closer to Telluride. These include Grand Junction (2.5 hours travel by car), Montrose (1.5 hours travel by car), and Telluride also has an airport.
